AAP GOVT. WILL STREAMLINE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP : BALJIT KAUR

Social Security, Women and Child Developmentminister Dr Baljit Kaur blamed the previous Congress govt for decline in the number of Admissions and alleged that Congress govt. did not pay a single penny for the year 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20.

Assuring that the AAP govt. will streamline the implementation of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) and would ensure that no SC students is deprived of education, she said that as soon as she took the charge of minister, AAP govt. immediately paid the amount 1.80 Cr as 40% state share to around 1.90 lakh SC students of Punjab for the academic year 2021-22. In 2022-23 also we will make timely payment to SC students so that they get uninterrupted education,

She said that in today's Aryans Scholarship Mela, 100 students from backward and border areas including Malout, Fazilka, Muktsar, Ferozepur, Jalalabad and Abohar will fulfill the dream of getting education in Chandigarh without any tuition fees in Aryans Group of Colleges.(SUBHEAD)

Dr. Anshu Kataria Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that under the initiative of “Each One, Reach One, Teach One” needy and deserving students belonging to categories including General, SC/ ST have been selected for studies in Aryans Group of Colleges in various job oriented courses including B.Tech, Law, Pharma, Nursing, Paramedical, Management, Education, Agriculture etc.

Akash Bansal, SDM said that all SC students can avail scholarship opportunities and get enrolled themselves in Aryans and adjoining colleges.

On the occasion Dr. Garima Thakur, Deputy Director, Aryans Group; Manpreet Mann, Dean Scholarship Dept; Er. Jaswinder Singh, HoD, Aryans College of Engineering, Faculty members including Dr. Dharminder Singh, Manjeet Kaur, Ramanpreet Kaur etc were also present.
