DR BALJIT KAUR INAUGURATES OLD-AGE-HOME

Dr Baljit Kaur, Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development Department inaugurated Dignity Nishkam Vridh Ashram (old-age home) on Abohar-Seetogunno Road here. She said that social welfare was the top priority for the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The minister said that the Punjab government was making meaningful efforts to protect women and empower them. Women were not less than men in any way and now society was changing the outlook. She urged people to take care of the elderly and respect them as the number of old age homes was increasing in the changing social environment. She said that the government will certainly help the prompters of old-age homes.

Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Savana, Abohar SDM Akash Bansal and District Social Security Officer Naveen Gadwal were also present.
