INDIAN ARMY UNFURLS 75 FEET HIGH NATIONAL FLAG AT DHARAMSHALA

As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and to commemorate 75 years of a progressive and independent India, Indian Army today hoisted a 75 feet high National Flag at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh, GOC, Rising Star Corps hoisted the monumental National Flag in the presence of Maj Gen MP Singh, GOC, Dah Division, Maj Gen Ashim Kohli (Retd), Head of Flag Foundation of India and other dignitaries from military and civil.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag followed by National Anthem by students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dharamshala and all others. A drill by the NCC cadets showcased the pride of the local youth associated with the tri-color.

The GOC Rising Star Corps addressed the gathering and appealed to all citizens to take pledge for the tri-color for the integrity, prosperity and security of the motherland.
