ACCUSED TRIED TO FLEE AND THE LOCALS HAVE ALSO TRIED TO HELP THE HIM AND THREW BRICKS ON HC NITIN, BUT EVEN AFTER SUFFERING INJURY, HC NITIN AND HC NAVAL SUCCEEDED IN OVERPOWERING HIM AND SUBSEQUENTLY ARRESTED

The team of Crime NR-I/Branch has arrested a desperate criminal Sanwar Malik @ Akbar @ Kalia S/o Asraf Malik R/o Present –C-434, Jahangir Puri Delhi, Permanent Village Basuliya, Shri Krishnapuri, PS Suta Hata, Distt- Haldiya Madinipur, West Bengal. (Age-29 yrs). He was wanted in Jahangir Puri Riots case and was declared Proclaimed Offender by the Ld. CMM Rohini Court. A reward of Rs. 25,000/- was also declared by Delhi Police Headquarter on the arrest of accused Sanwar @ Akbar @ Kalia.
While giving detail Vichitra Veer, IPS, DCP, Crime said, on 02.08.2022, HC Nitin and HC Naval were present in Jahangirpuri, Delhi and met with secret informer who informed that one desperate wanted criminal of Jahangirpuri riot cases namely Sanwar Malik @ Akbar @ Kalia who has been declared Proclaimed Offender, is present in C Block 500 Wali Gali, Jahangirpuri, Delhi. The secret Informer further told that if he is not apprehended this time, he will flee to his native place in West Bengal.
(SUBHEAD)A dedicated team of HC Naval Singh and HC Nitin Kumar deployed under the leadership of Insp. Satish Malik, under the close supervision of ACP/NR-I Sh. Anil Sharma responded quickly and without wasting time, tried to apprehend the accused Sanwar Malik @ Akbar @ Kalia but the accused run away from C Block to CD Block Jhuggi where he was caught running behind but he tried to flee and the locals have also tried to help the accused and threw bricks on HC Nitin, but even after suffering injury, HC Nitin and HC Naval succeeded in overpowering him and subsequently arrested Sanwar Malik @ Akbar @ Kalia S/o Asraf Malik.
A separate case vide No. 732/2022 u/s 186/353/332/34 IPC has also been registered in PS Jahangir puri against the accused Sanwar Malik @ Akbar @ Kalia and public persons on the complaint of HC Nitin Kumar. –
The Accused is educated upto class 4th. He has six brother/sisters. He belongs to a poor family and works as Kabadi. He started getting involved in the crimes like theft and was arrested for the first time in 2016 in an attempt to murder case when he alongwith his brother. Thereafter he started criminal activities all over Delhi.
He has been found involved in six criminal cases. On the day of “Hanuman Jayanti”, he along with other co-accused instigated the public and pelted stones, glass bottles upon the opposite party and police staff deployed on duty. After the riots, he absconded to avoid his arrest. He has been declared Proclaimed offender on 22.07.2022 in Jahangirpuri riots case by the Court. Further, cash reward of Rs. 25,000/- was also declared on his arrest.
