An ‘Investiture Ceremony’ of the newly appointed students' council for the academic session 2022-23 was held at I.S. Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21C, here.
The ceremony was presided over by Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Principal, Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat and other senior management members at the I.S. Dev Samaj School.
At the ‘Investiture Ceremony’, students were explained the meaning and importance of the Investiture Ceremony. The elected students were presented badges and sashes by Principal Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat. After explaining the role and responsibilities to the elected students, Mangat appreciated the leadership and social skills of the students and advised them to be honest in discharging their duties.
While congratulating the newly elected council members, Principal, Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat said, “The ceremony plays a significant role in student’s life as it is not just about conferring duties and responsibilities but also aimed at inculcating leadership qualities and team spirit among students . I express my immense trust in the newly elected students and am sure that they will discharge their duties impartially and in an efficient manner.”(SUBHEAD)
Those who were elected to the school cabinet were, Sunny, Head Boy; Khushleen Kaur, Head Girl; Vivek Kalyani, Junior Head Boy; Sunidhi, Junior Head Girl; Bhavya, Junior Vice Head Boy and Vanshika, Junior Vice Head Girl.
Total, 4 House Captains, 8 Junior House Captains, 15 Council members and 12 Prefects -from each class, were also introduced to the school cabinet.
The ceremony concluded with the Principal's congratulatory message to the newly appointed students and a piece of advice to balance these opportunities with academics and excel in both.
