RoundGlass Punjab FC’s Bikash Yumnam and Maheson Singh Tongbram were part of the Indian national team that lifted the SAFF U20 Championship title in Bhubaneswar on August 5, 2022.

Both youngsters, who featured in the Club’s Hero I-League 2021-22 campaign, were part of the Indian starting lineup against Bangladesh in the final as they ran out 5-2 winners after extra time in an enthralling encounter.

Sharing his thoughts after the victory, Bikash said, “It is a huge honour to win a trophy for my country. It was a great experience to be part of the Indian national team set-up and I am grateful to everyone – my family, teammates, coaches, and Club, who played a role in this journey so far.”

Maheson stated, “Wearing the Indian jersey and representing the nation is always a special feeling. I am delighted and thankful that we won the SAFF Championship, and wish that we can win more glory for India in the future. I hope that this victory will inspire young children to go out and play.”
