RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATED WITH BSF JAWANS AT HUSSANIWALA BORDER

Rakshabandhan is the festival of trust and affection wherein sisters tie Rakhi to their brothers for their well-being and long life.

The girls from border villages of Gatti Rajo Ke, Jallo Ke, Hajare Wala tied Rakhi to the BSF Jawans.

Mrs Amrit Singh, IAS Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur was also present at the occasion and she was seen tying Rakhi to the Jawans. Mrs Amrit Singh IAS said that these Jawans are always on duty and away from their families at the time of all the festivals.

On this special day Jawans must be missing the presence of their sisters, so as an expression of love, affection, gratitude and solidarity we have come here to tie Rakhis to them. She added that since Rakshabandhan is the bond of protection and care the Jawans at borders are always on duty to protect us so as sisters we always pray for their good health, happiness, well-being and success in life.

Jawans were touched by this celebration and said that they were grateful to the District Administration especially Deputy Commissioner Mrs Amrit Singh IAS and said that they feel as if their sisters are with them today. In a similar gesture the Female Constables of BSF posted at the outpost tied Rakhi to the employees of Punjab Police and expressed their affections for them.

Sh Berinder Kumar 2nd in Command 136 Bn BSF, Sh Karnipal Singh Rathore AC, Inspector Gurdeep Singh with the Jawan and Rattandeep Sandhu DPO Ferozepur, Veena Rani, Surinder Kaur, Kuljinder Kaur, Tajinder Singh, Abhishek and staff of Gatti Rajo ke School were present at the occasion.
