Raksha Bandhan festival was celebrated with traditional reverence and enthusiasm in the Rajyoga Bhawan of Brahma Kumaris here today. Municipal Corporation Mayor Vimal Thatai was present as the chief guest. Other dignitaries included Dr. Ramesh Verma, Dr. Ajay Mohan Sharma, Ramesh Sharma Advocate, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh etc.
The guests and BK followers were tied Rakhis by the center in-charge Pushplata, deputy in-charge Darshana, Rajyoga teacher Sunita and Shalu by applying tilak on the head. Rakhis were especially prepared in the memory of God at Mount Abu headquarters.
Mayor Thatai said that the way this pious festival is celebrated by Brahma Kumaris without any frills, other people should also follow it. Simplicity, affection and goodwill have special significance on such a festival. He expressed confidence that today the people who have celebrated the festival will never hesitate to protect women power by sacrificing the discrepancies in human life.
