MALE FOETUS FOUND IN THE DUMP OF GARBAGE

A four months old aborted male foetus was recovered near Mamdot bus stand situated on Hajara Singh Wala road. The incident took place today morning at around 11.30 am when Surinder Kumar, a rural medical practitioner (RMP) spotted a male foetus alongside the road near the dump of garbage. Notably Dr. Surinder runs a clinic which is situated near the Mamdot bus stand.

Dr. Surinder Kumar immediately reported the matter to the police following which the police officials from Mamdot police station reached the spot. The matter was reported to the health department also following which a team of health officials led by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Rekha Bhatti also reached there and took the foetus under their possession.

Meanwhile the police lodged an FIR against unidentified person under section 318 IPC at Mamdot police station (FIR No. 121 Dated 12.08.22).

“During the preliminary investigation, it has come to fore that the foetus is around 4 months old. We are checking the data of recent delivery cases from the Anganwari workers to get some clue. Whosoever has done this heinous act, will not be spared”, said Gurpreet Singh, SHO Mamdot police station.
