All the members of Vivekananda Vihar locality of Kangra town in Himachal Pradesh on the culmination of a year long ' Azadi ka Mahotsav' coinciding with the 76th Independence Day today gathered at the residence of Ma. Parikshit Raj Agnihotri the President of Vivekananda Vihar Development Committee and celebrated the occasion.
(MOREPIC1) The members of the locality most of them senior citizens saluted the tricolour and National Anthem was sung on the occasion.
Carrying national flags and raising the slogans ' Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vanday Matrum' the residents moved in the entire and locality, despite rains.
The sweets were distributed among the residents to celebrate the occasion and later on sweets were distributed among those who could not attend the ceremony. Surprisingly the young people were missing however the old people were shouldering the National Flag during the march in the locality.
Tea, juice and snacks were distributed by PR Agnihotri among the residents before taking out the march.
Among those who attended the celebrations were P R Agnihotri, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Prahlad Agnihotri, Ashok Raina, K.K. Sharma, C.K Saini,Madan Lal Suman, Satish Gupta, Satish Chug, Shyam Mehra, Suresh Kumar, Viney Gupta and others.
