Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector 32- C, Chandigarh celebrated Shri Krishna Janmasthmi with great zeal and fervour on Wednesday.
Internationally renowned Shri Shri Bhagwan Bhaiya Ji Maharaj Vrindavan and his accompanists illuminated the occasion with Bhajan Gayan. Dr Anirudh Joshi, Working-President GGDSD Society and Principal of the college Dr Ajay Sharma , welcomed the guests with hand crafted green planters.
(SUBHEAD)The enchanting bhajans highlighted the learnings and wisdom of Shri Krishan filled the auditorium with a spiritual zeal. The bhajans brought to fore how Shri Krishna symbolizes win over evil as in the Bhagavad Gita, he had mentioned that whenever evil rises in the world and religion sees a decline, he will reincarnate to fight the evil and lead people back to the right path. Shri Krishan Janmashtami is thus celebrated as a win of goodwill over evil. Therefore, Krishan Janmashtami or Gokulashtami reasserts the faith of people in the good, kind and caring.
Shri Jatinder Bhatia , Finance Secretary, GGDSD College Society , extended his warm greetings and good wishes to the people present on the joyous occasion of Janmasthmi celebrations . The Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Pratibha Kumari, head department of Hindi , followed by Prasad Vittaran.
