The complainant filed a complaint at Cyber Police Station, Dwarka and alleged that some unknown person has created a fake facebook profile by using the photos of complainant with obscene description. Further, she stated that person has also made two accounts with her name. She had been received various obscene messages & pornographic photos. As per the statement of the complainant a case vide FIR No. 90/22 dated 20/08/2022 U/s 67/67(A) IT Act was registered at Cyber PS Dwarka.
In overall guidance of worthy DCP/Dwarka, sincere efforts were made to solve the case at the earliest. A team lead by Insp. Jagdish Kumar, SHO/Cyber Dwarka and comprising Insp. Sudhir, SI Sahil, HC Jai Bhagwan, and Ct Vikas under the overall supervision of Sh. Ram Avtar ACP/Ops Dwarka was constituted to solve the case at the earliest and nab the accused person.
M. Harsha Vardhan, IPS, DCP, Dwarka Distt., said, during the investigation, details of fake facebook account and virtual numbers were obtained and analyzed. On the basis of technical analysis, the team raided at Mahaveer Enclave, New Delhi and apprehended the accused person. During interrogation, he disclosed his identity as Mahaveer Singh R/o Mahaveer Enclave, New Delhi, Age 32 years. (SUBHEAD)
During interrogation, he disclosed that he is a vendor and used to sell various plastic items in streets. He is physically handicapped and unmarried till date. Further, he stated that his brother Manwar Singh used to reside on the 1st floor of the complainant on rent 8-9 years ago and he knew her since then. He liked her and searched her Facebook Id and messaged her, but she didn’t reply. On this, he created fake Facebook Ids using of her photos and uploaded them.
Accused identified as Mahaveer Singh R/o Mahaveer Enclave, New Delhi, Age 32 years and recovered two smart phones used in the commission of crime. and two sim card.
