Chandigarh Press Club has condemned the attack on its member Barinderjit Singh Saluja, who works in The Times of India newspaper.
Saluja was attacked in Sector 43, Chandigarh, today afternoon, when he was going to Mohali for official work.
The accused attacked Saluja with a rod in a road rage incident.
He received an injury on his arm.
Governing Council of Chandigarh Press Club has urged the Chandigarh DGP to register a case and immediately arrest the accused, said Mr. Rajinder S. Nagarkoti, Secretary General of the club.
The Chandigarh Press Club also urges the UT administration and police to ensure the safety of journalists, added Mr. Nagarkoti.
