With the arrest of notorious criminal Akshay Yadav @ Akki @ Akshit Tyagi S/O Ramesh Yadav R/O Village- Lala Mohammad Pur, P.S Kankar Khera, Dist. Meerut, UP, Present address- H.No. 577/2, Shastri Nagar, Sect. 02, PS Nauchandi, Meerut, UP, (Age-30 yrs), the NR-1 Crime Branch has busted a gang of notorious criminals involved in murder, robbery, extortion and attempt to murder cases across Delhi -NCR. He is wanted in a murder case of 2020 of PS Kanker Khera, UP.
A reward of Rs. 50,000/- is also declared by Uttar Pradesh Police on his arrest. With timely swift action of Delhi police, another possible murder is averted as the accused has set his target for murder of a potential property dealer of Meerut. With his arrest a case vide FIR No. 192/2022 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act and 411 IPC PS Crime Branch has been registered.
As per the recent guidelines of the PHQ to eradicate the gangsters from Delhi-NCR, A team of Insp Alok Kumar Rajan & Insp Sanjay Kaushik, HC Kuldeep was working relentlessly on notorious criminal of interstate gangs.(SUBHEAD)
On dated 01.09.22, a specific information about an interstate notorious criminal Namely Akshay Yadav @ Akhit Tyagi @ Akki S/O Rakesh Yadav R/O Village- Lala Mohammad Pur, P.S Kanker Khera , Dist. Meerut, UP who is involved in many cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion etc and a reward of Rs. 50,000 declared on his arrest by UP police was received regarding his presence near Heliport, Sec 36, Rohini, Delhi to meet one of his associates in Hyundai i10 CAR bearing number DL4 CAP 4375. The information was developed through all possible sources and this information was shared with senior officers. A raiding party was constituted under the leadership of Insp Alok Kumar Rajan & Insp Sanjay Kaushik consisting the team members SI Narender Singh, ASI Yogesh, ASI Ramesh, HC Sanjeev & HC Karamjeet under the close supervision of Sh. Anil Sharma, ACP, NR-1.
(MOREPIC2) Accordingly, a trap was laid near Heliport, in Sec 36 Rohini, Delhi, where at about 5.00 PM the accused in a white i10 Car bearing number DL4 CAP 4375 was identified by the secret informer. The accused sensed the police presence and tried to flee from the spot but chased by the raiding team for about 1.5 KM near DDA Pump House in Sec 36 Rohini. Finally, the car was intercepted and person driving the same was apprehended. After sustained interrogation, his identity revealed as Akshay Yadav S/O Rakesh Yadav R/O Village- Lala Mohammad Pur, P.S Kankar Khera , Dist. Meerut, UP Age 30 years. During his proper search one Desi Katta and 2 Live rounds were recovered from his possession. The Car was also found to be stolen vide FIR No 024595/22 u/s 379 IPC PS Sonia Vihar, Delhi. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 192/2022 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act and 411 IPC PS Crime Branch has been registered.
INTERROGATION : Vichitra Veer IPS, DCP, Crime-III, said, on sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that in the year 2010, he had fallen in love with a girl living in his neighbourhood in Shastri Nagar, Meerut, with whom he eloped, for which a case was lodged against him in police station Nauchandi, Meerut, vide FIR no. 380/10 u/s 363/366/376 IPC. In the Jail he met Narender r/o Vill : Arnawli, Meerut, a criminal, and be friended with him.
Thereafter, when he came out from jail, he started extorting the shopkeepers and traders in Meerut by intimidating them. Again in the year 2015, he along with associates Vipin and Bablu fired at Manoj, the Pardhan of Arnavali village at the behest of Narender, as he was a contender against Narender’s father for the post of Village Pradhan election. A case vide FIR No. 192/15 u/s 307/504 IPC and 193/15 u/s 25 Arms Act were registered in Sarurpur (Rohta) police station in this regard.
In the same year, when he was with his friend Kapil Rastogi in Lalkurti, a fight had taken place with one Sunny Mahajan R/o Yamuna Mohalla, Lalkurti, Meerut, which turned violent and he shot Sunny Mahajan dead. A case vide FIR no. 375/15 u/s 302 IPC was registered at police station Lalkurti, Meerut. Thereafter, he fired at Bunty Balmiki, who had informed regarding his involvement in the murder of Sunny Mahajan (his Neighbour) but he survived, regarding which FIR No. 108/16 u/s 307/323/504/506 IPC was registered.
Thereafter, he robbed a motorcycle in Lalkurti along with his Associate Kapil Rastogi for the purpose of using the same for extortion and a case vide FIR No. 110/16 u/s 392 IPC was registered at police station Lalkurti. Again, he made extortion call of Rs 10 lakh after firing on Shivani Jewellers in Lalkurti from the robbed motorcycle.
Again a Case vide FIR no. 267/16 u/s 386 IPC was registered at Police Station Medical College, Meerut. However, while escaping on the same motorcycle, he had met with an accident and he was caught by the police and arrested in all the above mentioned three cases along with Kapil and Love Thakur.
After 2-3 years, he came out on bail and started indulging in criminal activities and Cases FIR No. 674/18 u/s 307 IPC PS Daurala and FIR No. 675/18 u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Daurala were registered and he was arrested and sent to jail. However, his associate Satish Bhola R/o Vill : bhati pura fled from the spot.
In the jail, he met with Subhash, who is a resident of Mavi Meera village, Daurala. After bail in year 2018, another case vide FIR no. 954/18 u/s 452/504/307/394/34 IPC was registered at PS Kankerkheda against him for firing on a financer. Many other cases were also registered against him during this period. In 2019, he was again caught by the police with a fake number plate on the vehicle and a weapon, regarding which FIR no. 1037/19 u/s 420/411/414 IPC and 1038/19 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered in police station Kankerkheda. One theft case FIR No. 1355/19 u/s 379/411 IPC was also registered in PS Indrapuram and he again went to jail.
In 2020, due to the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic he was released from jail on interim bail but he did not surrender in jail again and kept on absconding at different places. A Case vide FIR No. 630/20 u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Kankar Khera for the murder of someone he had enmity with. After that incident he came to Vikas Nagar, Delhi, at the house of Subhash's brother-in-law, Ritik Tyagi. In this case, reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared on his arrest by UP Police.
With the passage of time, he become close friend of Ritik Tyagi and since then he kept on hiding at his house. In year 2021, a case vide FIR NO. 156/21 u/s 307/336/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Ac was registered at PS Ranhola for firing on a person. In that case, both Akshay @ Akshit and Ritik Tyagi were arrested.
Concerned Police stations have been informed about the arrest of the accused. Two days PC remand of accused has been obtained for search of supplier of arms and other associates. Further investigation is in progress.
