DELHI CRIME BRANCH POLICE BUSTED DRUG SUPPLY SYNDICATE, TWO ARRESTED WITH HEROIN WORTH TWO CRORES

  Accused Manish, the drug mafia from trans-Yamuna region was arrested carrying fine quality of heroin. Total 1.3 Kg fine quality of Heroin recovered from Manish and his associate Tinku, worth of approx. Rs. 2 Crores. Accused Manish was carrying a reward of Rs.50, 000/- by Delhi Police on his arrest in a previous case of NDPS Act. Accused Manish has been previously involved in the cases of NDPS Act and robbery.

Crime branch is continuously working on bringing wanted criminals to justice, especially of heinous crimes. Manish is one such criminal who was wanted in an earlier case of NDPS Act, but was avoiding arrest.

A reward of Rs.50,000/- was also declared by Delhi Police on his arrest. Team of NR-2 was working on tracing him. On 01.09.2022, an information regarding his present location was received by the team of NR-2 of Crime Branch.

Working on the information, the team apprehended Manish. He was with another person named Tinku. During the checking, around 1.3 Kg. fine quality heroin was recovered from their possession, worth around Rs.2Crores in international market. After following all codal formalities, a case FIR No. 193/2022 under the provisions of NDPS Act has been registered against both the accused.

On 01.09.2022, a team headed by HC Pradeep, working under the supervision of Insp. Deepak Pandey and overall supervision of ACP/NR-2 Narender Beniwal was keeping a watch in Rohini area. The team consisted of HC Sachin, HC Nitin and HC Devender.(SUBHEAD)

The team intercepted a Creta car in which wanted criminal Manish and one more person named Tinku were travelling. On being intercepted, they tried to escape from the spot, but were apprehended by the police team. On search, a total of around 1.3 Kg. of heroin was recovered from their possession.

INTERROGATION:-Vichitra Veer IPS, DCP, Crime-III, said, During course of investigation it has been found that accused Manish S/o Milak Raj R/o Nand Nagri, Delhi, age 34 Yrs has been involved in a case of robbery of PS Lahori Gate in the year 2014. A cash of around Rs.1.5Cr. was robbed in that incident. Manish was arrested in said case and remained in jail till 2019. After coming out of jail, he got involved in gambling. Due to loss in gambling, he got into selling of psychotropic substances in Delhi-NCR.

He was wanted in case FIR No. 72/22 u/s-20/25/29 NDPS Act PS-Crime Branch (Narcotics Cell) and to avoid arrest he was frequently changing his address. Tinku S/o Mukesh R/o Jawala Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi age-34 Yrs is a childhood friend of Manish. He was earlier arrested in a case of Excise Act at PS-Vivek Vihar. Nowadays, Tinku was assisting Manish in selling drugs in Delhi-NCR.

Tinku S/o Mukesh R/o H. No. 589, Jawala Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi  FIR No. 209/17 dated 30/04/2017 u/s 33 Delhi excise Act PS Vivek Vihar, Delhi. Investigation is being carried out to identify more persons involved in this chain of drug supply.
