The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed a chargesheet against an accused in a case related to possession of huge quantity of Child Sexual Abuse Material(CSAM) and other related offences like collection/transmission/ publishing of Child Sexual Abuse Material(CSAM) before the POCSO Court, Varanasi(Uttar Pradesh).
CBI had registered a case against the said accused, resident of Madhvan, Lamahi, Varanasi(Uttar Pradesh) on the allegations of collection/ transmission/publishing of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), depicting children in sexually explicit manner.
During investigation, searches were conducted at his residence which led to recovery of electronic devices. Huge quantity of Child Sexual Abuse Material(CSAM) including photos and videos of the victim, was also found in electronic devices of accused, which was recovered from his possession. CBI had also arrested the accused on 13.07.2022 and he was remanded to Judicial Custody by the Competent Court.
During investigation, a minor victim was traced.
It was found that she was sexually abused and harassed by the accused since year 2019. It was further alleged that the accused used to take photos and videos of the sexually abusive activities. The accused also used to threaten and blackmail the victim. After thorough investigation, a chargesheet was filed.After investigation, chargesheet was filed on 10.11.2011 before the Additional Sessions Judge, Malegaon, District Nashik against Shri Rajendra @ Raju Devidas Shirsath, Shri Macchindra Piraji Suradkar @ Kachru and Shri Ajay Magan Sonawane. As one accused was juvenile, his matter was separately filed before Juvenile Justice Board, Nashik.
The Trial Court found the said three accused guilty and convicted them.
