CBI ARRESTS A SUPERINTENDENT OF CUSTOMS AND HIS ACCOMPLICE IN BRIBERY OF RS.25K

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Superintendent of Customs, Ahmedabad and his accomplice(Private person) in bribery of Rs.25,000/- 

A case was registered on complaint against the Superintendent of Customs, Paldi Division, Ahmedabad. It was alleged in the complaint that the Complainant (one of the partners in Merchant Exporter Partnership Firm) had applied for Self Sealing Permission for a manufacturing Unit. It was further alleged that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs.30,000/- for providing the Self Sealing Permission. 

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused & his accomplice while accepting the bribe of Rs.25,000/-. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused at Ahmedabad and also at Kerala which led to recovery of certain documents including details of property.
