3RD STATE YOGASANA SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP-2022 STARTS AT GOVT. COLLEGE OF YOGA EDUCATION

Yogasana State Association , UT Chandigarh affiliated to NYSF Recognised by the Ministry of youth affairs and sports, Government of India in collaboration with Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health-23 organised the opening ceremony of 3rd State Yogasana Sports Championship-2022 on 10-11 September 2022.

(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC3)   The principal of the college Dr. Sapna Nanda welcomed the Chief Guest of the occasion Shri Rupesh Kumar IAS, Director IT along with Sh. Jagat Magotra President of the Association, Ms. Meenakshi Thakur , Vice President , Mr. Roshan Lal , General Secretary , Mr. Jitender Singh , Organisation Secretary and Mr. Rohit , Technical Secretary and Ms. Sudha Rana Treasurer of the association . The chief guest in his presidential address shared the simple fitness mantra that one has to add both yoga and a balanced diet in one’s daily regime .

In addition to the above the college also celebrated poshan mah and the occasion was graced by Dr. Sanjeev Gulati,Project Coordinator and Ms. Sarita, Nutritional consultant from department of director social welfare .Ms Bharti has shared her words of wisdom on poshan or wholesome diets and explained the hazards of junk food and health benefits of nutritious Indian foods .

Participants enthusiastically participated in competition in various age groups i.e. sub junior-9 to 14 years , Junior -14 to 18 years and Senior – 18 years and above . Mr. Sumant Batish and Ms.Anupma Batish sports incharges of the yoga college sponsored the students refreshment for both the days .Around 150 students are going to participate in this event.
