In major breakthrough Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has got success by arresting the accused namely accused Ranbir Singh @ Gagi s/o Sh. Satpal Singh r/o Mata Gujjari Colony, near Gurdawara Jyoti Saroop Sahib, Bassi Pathana, District- Fatehgarh Sahib (Pb) Age 20 years and Rajinder Singh @ Preet s/o Ram Nath Singh, Village Ghail Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab age 23 yrs, and solved the recently registered snatching case FIR No. 144 dated 19.09.2022 u/s 379A, 34 IPC added 411 of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh under close guidance of Sh Charanjit Singh Virk, CPS, DSP/South Division and under the supervision of Inspector Baldev Kumar, SHO/PS-31, Chandigarh.
Present case was registered on the complaint of Shiva Chaudhary S/o Nakul Chaudhary R/o Shivalik Vihar, Zirakpur, Punjab Age 28 Yrs. In which he stated that on 18.07.2022 he came to Shop No. 02, Vishwakarma Mandir Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh to meet his friend.(SUBHEAD)
After meeting he was going back to home and reached near Govt. School Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh two boys came on Bullet motorcycle and snatched his Vivo mobile phone.
In this regard a special team was constituted consisting under the supervision of SHO, PS-31, Chandigarh, who succeeded in arresting accused Ranbir Singh @ Gagi and Rajinder Singh @ Preet and with their arrest the snatched mobile phone and Motorcycle used in crime has been recovered from their possession. Both accused is being produced before the Hon’ble Court and obtained one day police remand. Further investigation is in progress.
