51 KG OF PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCE (GANJA), 01 TRANSPORT VEHICLE (HONDA CITY) RECOVERED & 02 ACCUSED PERSONS INDULGED IN THIS ILLICIT TRADE ARRESTED

Team ER-III, was working on a secret input about an organized crime syndicate indulged in illegal trade of psychotropic substance (Ganja).
Subsequent upon a specific input about transportation of illegal Ganja supply, a raid was organized. A team consisting ASI Satish, ASI Praveen, ASI Arvind, ASI Dharmender, HC Gaurav, HC Deepak, HC Pradeep, HC Rahul and HC Surjeet was formed under the leadership of Inspector Kanwar Sain and overall supervision of ACP Vivek Tyagi.
Thereafter, a trap was laid near Shamshan Ghat, Old Seemapuri, Delhi. Further, as per information vehicle bearing reg. no. UP16-W-3663 (Honda City) having 51 kg Ganja was intercepted by the team and accused Salman R/o Pansariyan, PS Kotwali, Shamli, UP Age 27 yrs and Talim @ Talib R/o Sarvar Peer, Pansariyan, PS Kotwali, Shamli, UP age 24 yrs were overpowered. The Vehicle has been seized along with recovered illegal Ganja (51 KG) and both the accused persons were arrested under provisions of NDPS Act.(SUBHEAD)
Mr.Amit Goel (IPS), DCP/Crime, said, earlier a catche of 51 KG Ganja was recovered from this gang and 03 persons were arrested. They are running in judicial custody since Feb 2022. On sustained interrogation, the duo disclosed that they smuggled the illegal Ganja from Ankapalli, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh for supply at Delhi, NCR and Meerut, UP. Accused was remanded to police Custody remand for 10 days and further investigation at source of substance is on.

ACCUSED PERSONS: Salman R/o Sarvar Peer, Near Cooker Factory, Pansariyan, PS Kotwali, Shamli, UP Age 27 yrs, Occupation :- Driver, Education :- 12th pass Previous involvement:- Nil
INTERROGATION: He is permanent resident of PS Kotwali, Distt Shamli, Uttar Pradesh and has been in the profession of driving since 04 years, due to easy money, he indulged in the smuggling of Ganja from Vishakhapatnam and he would receive a handsome amount beside other expenses for transportation of
NDPS substance.
Addiction :- Drinking, Ganja smoking namely Talim @ Talib R/o Sarvar Peer, Pansariyan, PS Kotwali, Shamli, UP age 24 yrs, Occupation :- POP labour Education :- Uneducated Previous involvement:- Nil
He is permanent resident of PS Kotwali, Distt Shamli, Uttar Pradesh and has been in the profession of POP Labour, due to easy money, he indulged in the smuggling of Ganja from Vishakhapatnam and he would receive a handsome amount beside other expenses for transportation of NDPS substance.
