The PG Department of Commerce and Management, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Chandigarh organised freshers party, ‘Aaghaz’to welcome students of first year yesterday.
The event was presided over by Chief Guest Mr Rajiv Mehan, President, SD Alumni Association Chandigarh (SDAAC). He welcomed the new students and encouraged their creative impulses to keep learning and moving forward in life. The famous actor and singer, Bhavdeep Romana, alumnus of the college graced the occasion by performing on his newly released song, ‘Sazaa’.
Students of the college showcased their talent through enthralling performances including dance, singing and musical instrument playing.The students came dressed in their best attires bubbling with energy and excitement. A modelling contest was also organised and Devaansh Vig and Karman were adjudged as Mr and Ms Fresher respectively.(MOREPIC2)(SUBHEAD)
Sahil Chaudhary and Yashvi Makkar were adjudged as Mr Debonair and Ms Charming respectively. Chirayau Singla and Pranya adjudged as Mr and Ms Elegantrespectively.It was indeed a gala evening filled with enthusiasm and spirit of the youth.
Principal of the college Dr Ajay Sharma welcomed the students and motivated them to put up their best foot forward not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities to ensure overall development of their personalities.
