In a major Crackdown on Narcotic’s, Operation Cell, Sector-26 of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Operations, succeeded in arresting two drug peddler namely Manoj Mishra S/o Doman Mishra R/O Village Kumarganj PS- Uda Kishanganj, District Madhepura Bihar age -50 years. and Deepak Kumar Yadav S/o Rajinder Rai R/O Village Baldiha PS Jamo Bajar District Siwan (Bihar) age 25 years presently residing Village Jaspal Bangar District Ludhiana Punjab
On 07.10.2022, SI Ram Kumar 1641/CHG along with team of Operations Cell Sector-26, Chandigarh were on patrolling in UT Area Chandigarh and during patrolling Police party apprehended one person namely Manoj Mishra S/o Doman Mishra R/O Village Kumarganj PS- Uda Kishanganj, District Madhepura Bihar age -50 years from back side parking area of ISBT Sector-17 Chandigarh. During checking 51 KG 100 Grams Poppy Husk was recovered from his possession. Thereafter he has been arrested in above mentioned FIR.
On 08.10.2022, accused Manoj was produced before the learned Hon’ble Court and gets his 02 days police remand for further investigation. During course of investigation Police party along with accused raided at Village Jaspal Bangar Ludhiana Punjab and from there associate of accused Manoj, Deepak Kumar Yadav S/o Rajinder Rai R/O Village Baldiha PS Jamo Bajar District Siwan (Bihar) age 25 years Present Address :- Village Jaspal Bangar District Ludhiana Punjab was arrested from there and 1 KG 400 grams Poppy Husk was also recovered from Deepak. Section 29 NDPS Act has been added in this case.
Previous Criminal record of accused Manoj Mishra: He has a tainted past, he was previously involved in total 03 Cases of NDPS Act, out of which 1st Case in the year 2007, is of PS Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib Punjab, 2nd case in the year of 2008, is of PS Mehal kallan, Barnala Punjab, 3rd case in the year of 2009 of PS Focal Point Ludhiana Punjab. Now he has been arrested for carrying 51 KG 100 Grams Poppy Husk in Chandigarh. He is married and working as Labourer.
The other accused Deepak Kumar Yadav S/o Rajinder Rai R/O Village Baldiha PS Jamo Bajar District Siwan (Bihar) age 25 years presently residing at Village Jaspal Bangar District Ludhiana Punjab, married, Private Driver.
