CHANDIGARH ADMIN NOD TO HOLD PANJAB UNIVERSITY CAMPUS STUDENTS’ COUNCIL ELECTIONS ON OCT. 18.

Chandigarh Administration (Union Territory) has permitted the Panjab University to hold the election to the Panjab University Campus Students’ Council for the academic session 2022-23. The Election will be held on 18.10.2022

Students desirous of filing nomination for the P.U. Campus Students’ Council 2022-23 are advised to keep their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES (MATRICULATION/HIGHER SECONDARY FROM ANY INDIAN UNIVERSITY/BOARD/EQUIVALENT) ready for the verification of their date of birth.

No nomination will be entertained without the said mandatory certificate.

Meanwhile the Vice-Chancellor has approved the minutes of the meeting of the committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor to look into the request of students regarding two years of upper age relaxation for contesting the upcoming Panjab University Campus Students’ Council (PUCSC) election 2022-23 as under:

“Two years of upper age relaxation be given to the students contesting election to the Panjab University Campus Students’ Council and its affiliated colleges at Chandigarh for the year 2022-23 as the PUCSC election could not be conducted in the year 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19”. The relaxation in upper age will be one time relaxation/exemption only for the year 2022 and could not to be quoted as precedence in future.”
