A case FIR No. 55, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Om Parkash Batra R/o # 655, PEC Campus, Sector-12, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person sent him message regarding power disconnection due to non-payment of electricity bill on Oct.10. 2022. Later the complainant called on the given number who further asked him download quick support app and cheated Rs. 3,65,000/- from his account.  

In another case FIR No. 56, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Balbir Singh R/o # 286, Sector-51A, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person called on mobile number of his relative namely S. Nirmal Singh that complainant’s nephew namely Jassi who is living in Canada is in some trouble. Complainant called on the given number who further told him that Jassi has been arrested by Canadian Police and asked to deposit 5000 dollar in his account. Complainant deposited total Rs. 7,25,000/- in the given account through two cheques. Investigation of the case is in progress.
