TWO MEMBERS OF ROBBER’S GANG ARRESTED, 32 MOBILES RECOVERED

The sleuths belonging to Punjab police have nabbed two members of a robber’s gang and have recovered 32 mobiles (I-phones) which they had looted from a mobile shop owner. While divulging details, SSP Surinder Lamba said that the police had received a complaint from Pardeep Singh, a resident of the city area who runs a mobile phone shop situated backside central jail.

“On October 17, Pardeep closed his shop late night and took 32 costly mobile (I-phones) sets with him. While he was going back home on his car, the accused identified as Komalpreet Singh resident of Village Sodhi Wala, Gurjinder Singh alias Jashan resident of Village Hasan Dhut, Karanpreet Singh resident of Village Dulchi ke and Sukhmanpreet resident of Village Ali ke snatched his mobile kit and ran away”, said SSP.(SUBHEAD)(MOREPIC1)   

The SSP said that following the complaint, a case under sections 379 -B IPC was registered at city police station (FIR No. 405 Dated 18.10.2022). “A special team led by DSP Surinder Pal Bansal was constituted to nab the accused. “After the investigation and with the help of CCTV footages, the police nabbed two accused identified as Komalpreet Singh and Gurjinder within 47 hours of the incident and recovered 22 mobile phones (I-Phones)”, said SSP.

The SSP said that the police has launched a manhunt to nab the other accused.
