In a major breakthrough Chandigarh the team of Crime Branch’s under the supervision of Insp. Satvinder Singh cracked the whip on the drug paddlers, with the apprehension drug paddler namely Sagar Masih R/o # 103, Victoria Tower, Chandigarh Enclave Zirakpur, District-Mohali, Punjab, age-24 years.
On 20.10.2022 a Police party headed by SI Satyawan under the supervision of Insp. Satvinder Singh laid the naka in the area of Police Station Sector-17, Chandigarh and start checking the vehicles with regard to prevention and detection of crime during the festival season.(SUBHEAD)
During checking one car tries to escape from the naka point. On the basis of suspicion the car was stopped with the help of police official and the driver of the vehicle disclosed his name as Sagar Masih and during this process 125 gram heroin was recovered from his possession. Consequently, Case FIR No. 163 Dated 21.10.2022 U/S 21 NDPS Act, PS-17, Chandigarh registered against drug peddler Sagar Masih.
PREVIOUS HISTORY: Accused Sagar Masih has a tainted past and has already been arrested previously in 6 cases i.e: one case of NDPS of Chandigarh, one case of NDPS of Nayagaon (Mohali), one case of Arms Act of Chandigarh, one case of robbery of Chandigarh and two cases of vehicle theft of Chandigarh
Accused Sagar Masih was produced before the Hon’ble District Court and police remand has been obtained to ascertain the sources of origin of recovered contraband drugs and name of person (s), whom, it to be sell in tricity by arrested accused.
