In a major breakthrough PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP/UT Chandigarh Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal IPS and in the supervision of DSP/DCC and team headed by Insp Hari Om Sharma Incharge PO & Summon staff, total 5 absconded person including 4 state case PO and one conditional warrant have been arrested.
ARREST OF ACCUSED/PROCLAIMED OFFENDER: – By collecting information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search was conducted. Later on, by all the sincere efforts, on the information of secret informer, two accused has been arrested in different cases by the team of PO & summon staff. The PO & Summon staff Chandigarh has arrested the following absconded persons.
The accused Gazender S/o Sh. Hans Raj R/o Jhuggi No 879, Rajiv Colony Sec-17 Panchkula, Haryana, Age-37years has been arrested in case FIR No. 145 Dated 16.08.2020 U/s 397-B, 34 IPC and FIR No. 231 dated 05.07.2015 U/s 379,356,411, IPC P.S. 17 Chandigarh. Case FIR No. 145 Dated 16.08.2020 U/s 397-B, 34 IPC was registered on the complaint of one Sanjeev Kumar, who was doing the work of selling vegetable at Sector-17, Chandigarh.
On the day of incident the accused with one of his other companion at knife point snatched Rs. 1000 and the purse of complainant at Vegetable market Sector-17, Chandigarh. The accused tried to flee away, but they were caught by the nearby persons. Later accused Gazender did not appeared before the Hon’ble Court after getting bail.(SUBHEAD)
The accused namely Babloo S/o Sh. Surinder Ram R/o # 1755, GF, EWS Colony Dhanas has been arrested in case FIR No. 167 Dated 11.06.2019 U/s 411 IPC P.S. 39 Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of one Gagan S/o Sh. Dev Naryaran R/o Dhanas. On the day of incident when complainant reached at Light Point 25/38 the accused Babloo alongwith his two other companion snatched the mobile phone of complainant. During Court preceding the accused did not appear before the Hon’ble court and he was declared PO by the Hon’ble court on 30.08.2022.
Another PO namely Krishan S/o Lt. Sh. Jagdish Chand R/o # 2805, DMC, Chandigarh has been arrested in case FIR No 61 dated.07.05.2019 U/s 147 149 323 341 506 IPC, PS Maloya. He was declared PO by the Hon’ble Court of Ms. Renu Goyal, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 19.05.2022. Presently the accused was detained at Ambala Jail in another case and the production warrant of the accused was requested before the Hon’ble Court.
Another accused Shankar Thapa S/o Sh Hem Lal Thapa R/o H No 250 Ekta Colony Belongi District Mohali, Punjab age 32 yrs has also been arrested in case FIR No 47/2011 Us 379, 411 IPC PS 39 Chandigarh. The accused was declared PO by the court of Sh Simran Singh JMIC, Chandigarh on dated 5/12/2019. Presently the accused was detained at Model Jail, Chandigarh in an another case.
The production warrant of accused was requested before the Hon’ble Court for today. In one another case a conditional warrant in CRL Misc 561/2019, has also been executed with the arrest of accused Harvinder Verma S/o Late Sh. Kashmiri Lal R/o VPO Mustafabad District Yamuna-Nagar, Haryana. The complainant filed application for maintenance of expenditure before the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Puneet Mohinia, JMIC, Chandigarh, but accused neither paid the maintenance nor appeared before the Hon’ble Court. Today he was arrested from Yamunanagar, Haryana and produced before the Hon’ble court.
