DHANWANTRI JAYANTI, NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY CELEBRATED

Dhanwantri Jayanti and National Ayurveda Day were celebrated in the Tantia University campus. Chief guest Dr. Raj Kumar Pareek, Deputy Director, Department of Ayurveda was welcomed by Principal Dr. Subhash Upadhyay.

Pujan was performed by Dr. O. P. Saraswat along with the chief guest Pareek, Dr. Subhash Upadhyay and other staff. Dr. Pareek explained the importance of Ayurveda in his lecture. Dean Dr. Ajay Sharma, Dr. K. K. Arora of Jan Sewa Hospital, faculty members, staff and students were present.

As per the guidelines of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and the Ministry of AYUSH of the Central Government under the National Program Amrit Mahotsav, programs were also organized by Tantia Ayurvedic College on the theme of Ayurveda to promote Ayurveda and benefit the common people.

The sequence of events started from 19th September. In the series of programs, health awareness rally, yoga camp, free medical camp, lectures on importance of Ayurveda in mental stress and diet, street plays, essay writing etc. were organized.
