A complaint was made to the Vigilance Bureau against Amit Vij former MLA of Pathankot and Treasurer of Punjab Congress.
(MOREPIC1) Meanwhile Amit Vij said, the complaint Ankit Mehra, was involved in criminal case and had been arrested in a case of extortion impersonating as Mining Officer.
in the name of miniand former MLA of Pathankot, himself is the owner of criminal instinct and arrested by Pathankot Police who is now out on bail. The case was registered by the Mining Officer Abhishek Atri vide , FIR No. In 124,under sections of IPC 419, 384, 341 and 120-B, in which it is clear that he used to make recovery by becoming a fake mining officer.
Amit Vij said that an attempt is being made to hatch a political conspiracy against him. He clearly said that Pathankot developed during his tenure which was not tolerated by the opponents and now attempts are being made to defame him by complaining to Vigilance. He said that during his tenure, development works were done only in the committee formed under the supervision of competent officers.
He clarified that he did not have any office of profit portfolio. He only performed his duty as a public representative. He said that till now Vigilance has not called him. But if there will be any investigation, He will fully cooperate and join investigation.
He said that the way the media campaign was launched against him on the complaint of a criminal, it clearly shows the mentality of the people of the ruling party.
According to Amit Vij, they also have all the documents against the complainant and they will soon file a defamation case against him.
