MLA Sandeep Jakhar and Municipal Corporation Vimal Thatai today joined people of Bihar origin in celebrating the festival of Chhath Punjab and offered greetings to the community that had arranged a function near the town canal.
Both of them prayed for the wellbeing of all, brotherhood among people of different faiths and communities to ensure peace in the region. Jakhar was felicitated by presenting a memento.
Chhath Puja is said to be the only festival in which Lord Chandra and Lord Surya are worshipped which all of us can see and has a lot of significance in our day today life. It’s basically worshiping nature.
