TiE CHANDIGARH ORGANISES INVOGIRATING SEMINAR WITH EMBASSY OF ISRAEL ON ADVANCED ISRAELI TECHNILOGIES AND WATER MANAGEMENT FOR AGRI STARTUPS

To facilitate knowledge transfer in critical field of Agriculture and Water Management , the TiE Chandigarh Chapter on Thursday organised an invigorating discussion on Advanced Israeli Technologies in the agri sphere today at the Indian School of Business (ISB) Campus here this afternoon.

The idea exchange held at the Atal Incubation Centre witnessed thought provoking discussion on the topic crucial to region's sustainable future to ensure viabiliy of agriculture as a profitable profession for both the Anndatas and the government.

The discussion was held in collaboration with Embassy of Israel, and was co-sponsored by Startup Punjab, Govt. of Punjab. The session specifically showcased the scope for adoption of these technologies in India.

(SUBHEAD)Speaking on the occasion, Doron Gidony, Innovation attaché- Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel , said, “We try and help the private sector to grow in a comfortable environment and bringing in new partners for more business. Israel has no resources that are favourable to agriculture yet they have been able to achieve due to their motto which is ‘Grow More with Technology ‘In the last 6 years, fruits and vegetable industry has grown at a rapid rate in Israel with the right use of infrastructure.

Shani Rapaport Etsiony, Head of Public Diplomacy- Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel emphasised , “Business collaboration between India and Israel has increased substantially during the past few years. He further announced that 6 top teams shortlisted at the finals of the Agritech Start- up competition will be provided in-person mentorship by an Israeli delegation .

Robin Aggarwal , President TiE Chandigarh said, while welcoming the technology exchange programmes stated , “ Business to Business meetings allow both Indian and Israeli companies to meet on an individual basis to network with key executives and explore businesses prospects.
