GGDSD COLLEGE LIFTS OVERALL TROPHY AT PU YOUTH AND HERITAGE FESTIVAL 2022 FOR THE EIGHTH TIME IN A ROW

Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma (GGDSD) College, Sector 32, Chandigarh outshined yet again as it won the overall trophy for the eighth consecutive time at the Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival 2022, Zone Chandigarh A.

The mood was one of jubilation and excitement as the students and teachers of GGDSD College lifted the winners’ trophy of PU Youth and Heritage Festival held at DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh from November 1 to 3, 2022.

Dr Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College applauded the exemplary performance of the students and shared, “It is a moment of immense pride for the College as it maintains its tradition of excellence by winning the trophy for continuously eight times. The students of GGDSD College showcased exceptional theatrical skills, rhetorical competency, creative acumen, artistic ability and proficiency in creating heritage items by bagging first position in Folk Orchestra, Folk Song, Luddi, Bhajan, Skit, Kali Singing and Mime. The students made it to the top slot in the heritage and fine arts items like Gudiyan Patole Making, Naala Making, Tokri Making, Paranda Making, Rassa Vatna, Eennu Making, Phulkari, Bagh, Crochet and Rangoli.

The College won second position in Folk Instrument, Ladies traditional Song, Group Dance, Mimicry, Quiz, Elocution, Handwriting Competition in Hindi, Peerhi Making, Chhikku Making, Dasuti/ Cross Stitch and Pakhi Making while the third spot was taken in items like Poster Making, Cartooning, Gazal, Poem Writing, Debate, Mitti de Khidaune, Khiddo Making, Vaar Singing, One Act Play, Histronics and Bhand.

The College is one of the premier institutions of North India with a NAAC A+ grade and noteworthy academic achievements and this win clearly reflects on the focus of the College to promote holistic development of the students.
