ERADICATION OF CRUELTY IN CEREMONIAL HORSES : 200 SPIKED BITS REMOVED FROM THE HORSES

NGO People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) with the help of Chandigarh Police carried out a special drive in South Sub Division for eradication of cruelty in ceremonial horses under the guidance of ASP-South/West.

In this drive, total 200 Spiked Bits removed from the horses kept in different areas which include Sector-38, Sec-41 and Daddu Majra Colony and safer Bits provided by PETA workers to the owners of such horses.

During that drive, horse’s owners were aware regarding harms and disadvantages of using old fashioned Spiked Bits. They were also advised to avoid use of such Spiked Bits in future too 

It may be add that Horse Show is continued in New Chandigarh.
