Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of Police Station Sector-39, Sub-Division South West arrested an accused Wahid Ali s/o Sabir Ali, age 21 Years r/o House No. 840, Ground Floor, EWS Colony Dhanas, Chandigarh and worked out a sensational case of snatching by recovering a snatched mobile phone and 05 other mobile phones and one Activa Scooter in case FIR No. 178 dated 08.11.2022 U/S 379-A, 34 IPC added 411 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh.
It was reported that on 06.11.2022 at about 07.40 PM, the complainant Kamlesh Chander s/o Budhi Lal r/o House No. 259, Vilage Palsora, Chandigarh wasbgoing towards Furniture Market, Sector-54 and when he reached near Taxi stand Sector-54, in the meantime two Activa rider boys snatched his mobile phone make Vivo and Rs. 5000/- cash then fled away from the spot.
On the Directions of W/SSP under the supervision of Sh Mridul, IPS, SDPO/South West, a team was constituted comprising of Inspector/SHO Eram Rizvi, SI Daljeet Singh 1061/CHG I/C PP Palsora, HC Santokh Singh 667/CP, C Sunil 4999/CP, Vidyanand 6248/CP, Ct. Chander Mohan No. 6429/CP, Vol Astik 593/CHG.(SUBHEAD)
During the course of investigation, above said snatching case was cracked by putting a naka near Football Ground Sector 56, Chandigarh on secret information. Thereafter, accused Wahid Ali s/o Sabir Ali, age 21 Years r/o House No. 840, Ground Floor, EWS Colony Dhanas, Chandigarh has been arrested on Wednesday and one Activa bearing Registration No.CH01AN 6271 used in snatching along with snatched mobile phone make Vivo have been recovered.
Thereafter, 05 other smart mobile phones (make Motorola, Red MI, Oppo, Vivo and Red MI) those are snatched by accused person from the different areas of Chandigarh have also been recovered and the same are taken into police possession U/s 102 Cr.P.C. accordingly.
The accused Wahid Ali has a criminal history as case FIR No. 25 Dated 27.02.2019 u/S 380,454 added 411 IPC, PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh reported against him.
In an other case a major breakthrough, a team consisting SI Avtar Singh, Constable Sandeep Kumar, Constable Sunil Kumar) led by Sh. Satnam Singh, SHO, PS-Maloya was formed under the close supervision of Sh.Mridul, IPS, SDPO-South/West sorted out Case FIR No.123 Dt. 19.09.2022 U/s 379A, IPC, added 411 IPC, PS-Maloya UT, Chandigarh by arresting accused namely Dilshad Ahmed S/o Zafer Hussain R/O H. No.265-C, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh, age-20 yrs on 08.11.2022.
During the investigation, one snatched mobile phone make Redmi note-9 Black/Blue colour and Motorcycle no.CH01-BN-5587 Hero Honda Splendor used to commit the crime have been recovered from his possession.
