In order to spread awareness among defence pensioners regarding System for Pension Administration (Raksha) (SPARSH), Defence Pension Disbursing Office (DPDO) is organizing a “SPARSH Awareness Campaign” on 21 November 2022 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM at DPDO Office, Sector-9A, Chandigarh.
The pensioners will be provided necessary information regarding how to use SPARSH Software and to do various pension related activities. All pensioners, who will participate in the Campaign should bring Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Bank Passbook and Mobile Phone along with them.
(SUBHEAD)SPARSH is an initiative of Ministry of Defence, which aims at providing comprehensive solution to the administration of pension to the Defence Pensioners. This system will be administered by the Defence Accounts Department through Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension),Prayagraj.
Around 19 Lakh Pensioners have already been migrated from different PDAs (DPDOS/Banks) to SPARSH Module. Remaining pensioners will also be migrated to SPARSH in a few months. Thereafter SPARSH will act as the Single Comprehensive Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA) for all Defence Pensioners.
In SPARSH System, each pensioner is being provided a unique Pensioner ID and Password through which the pensioner can log-in to SPARSH Website and can perform various Pension related activities. Several Service Centers have been opened by the Government that will provide services to the defence pensioners. All DPDOs throughout India will also work as Service Centers for Defence Pensioners.
