Rozgar Mela, under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, GOI, was organized at Frontier Headquarters BSF here on Tuesday.This was the 2nd edition of handing over of offer of appointment letters to the newly inducted recruits and to carry forward the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for providing employment to 10 lakh people by the end of 2023.
On this occasion, around 71,000 offer of appointments across 45 regional centers were handed over to the newly inducted recruits, wherein the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi initially addressed the newly appointed candidates through virtual mode and urged them to work for the cause of nation building. Thereafter, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the “KARAMYOGI PRARAMBH MODULE” which is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various government departments.
It will include code of conduct for Government servants, work place ethics & integrity, human resource policies and other benefits and allowances that will help them to get acclimatized to the policies and transition smoothly into the new roles.(SUBHEAD)
The ceremony at the Frontier Headquarters BSF Punjab was presided over by Shri Som Parkash, (MP) Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Shri Asif Jalal, IPS, IG BSF Punjab Frontier welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present in the function, wherein HEADQUARTERS PUNJAB FRONTIER BSF JALANDHAR CANTT (PUNJAB) physical and online copies of offer of appointment letters were given to 400 candidates hailing from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh selected for various posts in 15 different departments of Government of India.
During the event Shri Som Prakash, Hon’ble Minister apprised the audience about the recruitment drive being launched by Central Ministries and departments by filling existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in a mission mode through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC, Railway Recruitment Board, etc.
The new recruits will join different departments of Central Government in Group A, B and C levels. He also reiterated that “Rozgar Mela” is an important step towards fulfilling the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities to the youth and ensure the welfare of the society, when Nation is celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
There was great enthusiasm among the newly appointed youths, who gathered at premises of Frontier Headquarters BSF Punjab and were also seen taking selfies and giving interviews to the representatives of media houses. They also thanked the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for providing the employment opportunities and also appreciated the Govt. of India initiative of employment for the unemployed youths.
