23-years-old Naseeb Kaur, who was killed on November 14 in Mohali, belonged to Seed Farm, Abohar. She was working as a nurse in a private hospital in Panchkula.
As per information available with the family, the murder was allegedly committed by the girl's friend Rashpreet Singh s/o Harpal Singh, a suspended ASI of Punjab Police. The body was found lying on a bench near the village Sohana.
Preliminary investigation reportedly indicated that Naseeb Kaur had gone to meet Rashpreet Singh where both had a fight and Rashpreet allegedly killed her. At present Rashpreet Singh is out of the grip of the police. The police had registered a case of murder on the statements of Mukhtiar Singh, the father of the deceased.
According to information, Naseeb Kaur has been working as a nurse in different hospitals at Mohali and Panchkula for the past several months and was living in a PG in village Sohana along a friend from Shimla.
Naseeb Kaur was till recently posted as a staff nurse in a private hospital in Sector-5, Panchkula. On November 14, she went from PG to the hospital, but on Sunday morning people informed the police after seeing her body lying on the bench near the pond of village Sohana.
Police identified her from the I-card and after that her family was informed. According to relatives, the deceased was the youngest of four sisters while she had no brother. Her father took care of the family by working hard as a labourer and got the youngest daughter admitted in an institute for nursing course.
