The Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh, Sh. Dharam Pal, with Finance Secretary-cum-Secretary Engineering, Sh. Vijay Namdeorao Zade, Smt. Anindita Mitra, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Sh. Kapil Setia, Chief Architect, engineers from the Engineering Department, Punjab PWD & Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh visited the black spots on the Airport Light Point and U.T, Boundary at Zirakpur side to access the ongoing improvements and propose planning to ease traffic.

After inspecting, the Adviser directed to complete the connectivity on UT Boundary with Zirakpur side within two months. Further, recently an estimate approval to tune of Rs. 9.68 Crores has been given to construct independent cycle tracks from Tribune Chowk upto UT Boundary besides widening of the slow carriageway

Also, junctions are being planned in such a way that traffic movement will be slow and organized.

Further, the Adviser asked to complete the work in the stipulated time and desired to beautify the whole stretch within the prescribed period.
