TIBETAN LEADERS HIGHLIGHTS STRENGTHENED TIES BETWEEN TIBETANS AND LOCALS

(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2) The prime Minister of Tibetan Government in exile, Penpa Tsering and Trisur Prof. Ven. Samdong Rinpoche attended the ‘Tibet Dialogue’ concurrently held with the ceremony of Swami Satyananda Stokes Samman conferment to Prof. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh in Dharamshala .

Organised by the Central University of Himachal Pradesh Teachers Association (CUHPTA), the event was attended by Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal, the Vice Chancellor of the university, along with faculty members and students of the university.(SUBHEAD)

Congratulating Prof. Kuldeep Chand on being awarded, Penpa Tsering expressed gratitude to the former for consistently supporting the Tibetans and appreciated his lengthy services in Dharamshala’s education sector. Furthermore, he apprised an array of issues concerning Tibet and Tibetans to the guests, professors and students amassed at the university’s conference hall, given the significance of familiarisation between the two communities.

When the university’s Vice Chancellor acknowledged setting up a Buddhist study centre at the university, Tsering assured CTA’s cooperation in providing requisite resources, such as information, for establishing a strengthening ties between the institute and Tibetan Administration.

Similarly, Minister Trisur Prof. Ven. Samdong Rinpoche felicitated Prof. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri and thanked him for constantly supporting and advocating the Tibet cause.
