CHANDIGARH POLICE ANNOUNCE REWARD OF RS. 30 K ON ACCUSED ISHWAR CHAND INVOLVED IN GST FRAUD CASE

Chandigarh Police announced the reward of Rs. 30,000/- to the informer of accused Ishwar Chand S/o Chander Bhan, R/o # 463, Burail, Sector-45, Chandigarh who involved in two GST fraud cases of Economic Offences Wing i.e. FIR No. 385 dated 13.12.2019 u/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC, PS-17, Chandigarh and FIR No. 100 dated 02.07.2021 u/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC, PS-17, Chandigarh in which approximately amount of Rs. 05 Crore is involved.

As per the facts of the cases, the business activity was not being carried out at principle place of business by accused person. Further the accused person has made bogus transactions of sale/supplies and acted as a bogus dealer. The accused person has made the transactions of supplies and collected tax but did not deposit the due tax to the Govt.

It has also been learnt that the accused person fraudulently not deposited the due tax of Rs. 5 Crore approximately in Govt. Treasury.
