MCM HOLDS AWARENESS SESSION ON AGNIVEER

The NCC (Army Wing and Naval Wing) of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised a session on Agniveer Vayu with the aim to generate awareness about Agniveer Vayu intake-01/2023 for recruitment of eligible youth (both males and females) as Agniveers (Vayu).

The speaker for the session was CPL Rajendra Kumar, Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force Ambala. CPL Kumar discussed the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for Agniveers, and the benefits and privileges offered to them.

He also apprised the students about the career options after leaving the forces as Agniveers. The students from various disciplines attended the session that was truly motivational, encouraging and led to awareness regarding one of the most attractive and transformative reform in the recruitment policy of Armed Forces i.e. Agniveer.

Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this initiative of the NCC of the college to educate students about this great opportunity to serve the country and contribute in nation building. She added that the scheme will truly benefit the youth and lead to much more aware, youthful and technically adept and experienced personnel in the armed forces.
