Traffic Police conducted a special drive during night to curb the over speed violation by the buses during the month of November-2022 to prevent the road accidents.
(SUBHEAD)During the drive total 74 challans were issued to the different roadways buses i.e. CTU -15, Punjab Roadways – 8, Haryana Roadways – 8, Himachal Pardesh Roadways -26. UP/ Uttrakhand/ Private Buses – 17. Further a special drive under “STRAPS” (Safe Transportation Policy for Students) during morning hours was carried out in the month of November-2022 against School buses to curb different violations keeping in view the safety of school children.
Total of 109 challans were issued for different violations to the school busses of various schools.
During the special drives nakas were deployed at strategic locations keeping in view the accident prone areas, dark spots and roads where over speeding is rampant. Further drive is continue.
