Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar built on a vast land of 600 acres on the Sardar Patel Ring Road in Ahmedabad was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the divine presence of Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj last night. Acharya Devvrat, Governor and Bhupendra Bhai Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat were present at the function.

The Prime Minister paid floral tributes to the 30-feet tall divine statue of Pramukh Swami Maharaj seated on a 15-feet high pedestal.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister said that Akshardham is such a tradition that it should invite universities of the world as a case study that what a wonderful combination of modern management and modern technology in the spiritual world of India! Training center for saints has been set up by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in Sarangpur.

On the arrival of the Prime Minister, Abu Dhabi Hindu Mandir Project in-charge Brahmavihari Swami escorted him. Ishwarcharan Swami, the international services director of the organization, felicitated Modi with a garland. PM Modi was present in this program for 3 hours and without any security guard, he also met the children present in large numbers. Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj presented mementos to the PM.
