Dr Varun Khanna, a dentist and Bharatanatyam exponent, performed choreographies of his teacher, National Award winner Mrs Rama Vaidyanathan, at Zenith 2022 programme held at PGIMER auditorium here on Tuesday evening.
Dr Khanna, known as the ‘Dancing Dentist’, presented pushpanjali (a flowery tribute) to the Almighty, the audience and his elders and teachers, followed by Ardhanarishwara ashtakam.
An ancient poetry by Saint Adishankaracharya, which talks about gender equality and sensitivity, and it's importance for the progress and upliftment of society, was part of the dance presentation. He also judged a cultural competition during the show.
