Drug Disposal Committee (DDC) of Chandigarh Police under the chairmanship of Sh. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, SSP/HQ & Crime constituted by W/Director General of Police, U.T, Chandigarh has disposed-off the contraband drugs of 83 NDPS Act cases of 15 Police Stations, PS-3,11,17,19, 26, 31, 34, 36, 39, 49, IT Park, Maloya, Industrial Area, Mauli Jagran and Sarangpur in which contraband drugs, Heroin, Charas, Puppy Husk, Ganja, Ice, Intoxicant Injections and Capsules were seized on Thursday.
On 17.12.2022, during the pre-drug disposal meeting, after checking the contraband drugs/muds and documents of 83 NDPS Act cases, Drug Disposal Committee (DDC) found it fit for disposal and same was disposed-off today i.e., 22.12.2022 by adopting all legal process.(SUBHEAD)
The drugs were disposed-off at M/s Rainbow Environments Pvt Limited, 1139, Sector-69, Mohali, Punjab through Incinerator installed in the firm. The mandatory drug disposal process requirements were complied with by the Drug Disposal Committee. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), UT, Chandigarh has also disposed-off huge creche of seized contraband drugs at the same place through incinerators alongwith Chandigarh Police. The name and quantity of drugs which were disposed off during this process is as under:
Heroin -2.853 Kgs, Ganja, 2.853 Kgs , Charas , 10.818.177 Kgs, ICE 09.072 Grams, Injections : 299 Injections of Bupremorphine (2ml each), 306 Injections of Pheniramine Malate (10 Ml each), 128 Injections of Promethezine Hydrochloride (2 Ml Each) , 143 Injections of Pentazoeine (1 Ml Each), 15 Injections of Avil (10 ML each). 950 Capsules of Dyclonine Hydrochloride, Tramadol Hydrochloride aAnd Acetaminophen , Opium 2.893 Kgs contraband will be deposited in Opium & Alkaloid Factory Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh). Approximately total Quantity of Contraband Drugs = 131 Kgs, 805 Injections and 950 Capsules
The market value of these drugs is Rs.5 Crores approximately. This is continuously 8th drug disposal process under the chairmanship of Sh. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, HQ & Crime in Chandigarh Police i.e., on 21.10.2019, 04.08.2021, 14.09.2021, 30.12.2021, 08.02.2022, 20.04.2022. 20.06.2022 and now on 22.12.2022.
In these Drug Disposal process, the contraband drugs of 1460 NDPS Act case have been disposed-off. With this drug disposal process, almost all contrabands drugs lying in Malkhanas have been disposed-off as per legal process.
