President All India Kisan Congress and Bholath MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira today lashed out at the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over the outsiders’ appointments in Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Punjab, telling him that he should formally handover his authority to Delhi leadership.
Reacting to the appointment of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s close aides Satya Gopal as Chairman and Rakesh Goel as member RERA, Khaira said, “this was the ‘badlaav’ (change) Arvind Kejriwal wanted to bring in Punjab, by appointing his blue eyed boys into important positions. It is better Bhagwant Mann formally hands over power to Delhi”.
Accusing Mann of compromising with the interests of Punjab and Punjabis, the Bholath MLA told the Chief Minister that he had proved worse than his predecessors, Parkash Singh Badal and Captain Amarinder Singh, whom he (Mann) accuses of playing “friendly match”.(SUBHEAD)
“At least they did not import and impose non-Punjabis to rule over Punjabis”, he said, while remarking, “Rajya Sabha nominations and the RERA appointments should shake the conscience of every conscientious Punjabi”.
Just nine months into power, they have already intensified the process to cleanse Punjab government of all the Punjabis from important positions while the Chief Minister Mann remains obligingly obedient to his Delhi masters without realizing how much damage he is inflicting on self-respecting Punjabi psyche, which can have dangerous repercussions.
