JASSAL COUPLE SHINES AGAIN IN MASTERS ATHLETIC

In the Rajasthan State Masters Athletics Championship – 2022 organised recently by the Jaipur District Masters Athletic Association at Rajasthan University athletics ground Jaipur, Gulshinder Singh, a retired govt school teacher of Abohar won gold medal in hammer throw, silver medals in javelin throw and discus throw.

His wife Jaspal Kaur, also a retired government school teacher, won gold medals in 100-meter race and discus throw, she won silver in hammer throw. Both retired govt teachers at the age of 71 and 72 respectively from Ekta Colony here have been participating in master athletics championship in Punjab, Rajasthan and UT Chandigarh. The couple has so far won about 150 medals in the past 12 years. They do morning walks and practice in the evening daily.

Sukhdev Singh Dhillon (69) of Wahabwala village has won silver medals in shot put and hammer throw events and bronze medal in discus throw in the same competition.
