On the eve of ending of year, a three story building suddenly collapsed in Kharar of Mohali district on Saturday. The treagedy took place in Sector 126. According to sources there was construction work was going on the 3 story showroom near near Nijhar Chowk. First the roof of the building collapsed, with the weight of which the entire building collapsed.
At the time when the building collapsed, work was going on on its third floor. There was possibility of 2 to 3 labourers who were buried and the rescue operation was continue till the posting of this news.
Fire brigade and NDRF teams have reached the spot. Rescue operation is going on continuously. 6 people have been taken out and sent to the hospital. More updates awaited.
