ACTRESS SAMAIRA SANDHU MOTIVATED STUDENTS TO DEVELOP LIFE SKILLS TO DEAL WITH REAL LIFE SITUATIONS

A special Havan Yagya was organized at Government College of Education Sector 20 D, Chandigarh, to seek Divine Blessings of the almighty on the beginning of the New Year with a positive thought and energy.
Principal Dr. Sapna Nanda, greeted everyone on New Year and emphasized the importance of leading a life rooted in vedic values and principles. All teaching and non teaching staff along with the students of the college participated in the morning assembly tutored by Dr. Lilu Ram.
In the special program which lasted for 2 days, Dr. Sapna Nanda inaugurated another Value Added Course “Upskilling Employability of Pupil Teachers” under the guidance of Dr. Ravneet Chawla. The Course will be conducted from 2nd to 7th January, 2023 following a 30 hour module. A special guest lecture was organised today in which Dr. Gulshan Kumar from ICSI addressed the students on the topic of “Global Opportunities, 7C’s and preparing multitasking teachers”.(SUBHEAD)
In the afternoon session, Model and Actress Ms. Samaira Sandhu addressed the students. She talked about “The first Impression: Bearing yourself correctly”. She inspired and motivated students to develop life skills to deal with real life situations. She shared her life experiences among the students and inspired them to achieve new heights in whatever field they pursue in future.
A cultural program was also organized on the occasion under the guidance of Dr. Nisha Singh, as a part of the ongoing value added course – “The Science of Happiness” (26th December to 7th January, 2023) whereby the students of the college performed various cultural activities like Classical dance, Haryanvi dance, Manipuri dance, Kavali, group song etc.
