DC DUGGAL FLAGS OFF CLEANLINESS DRIVE

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal flagged off a special fortnightly cleanliness drive dedicated by the Municipal Corporation here to New Year on Wednesday.

The DC, who holds additional charge of Commissioner Municipal Corporation said on the occasion that it is our duty and responsibility to keep the city clean and to provide a clean and disease-free environment to all the citizen and this is possible only if we do not pollute the city and every citizen performs moral duty to keep the city clean. She said that during the fortnightly campaign, priority would be given to the cleanliness of city road edges, wards, streets etc.(SUBHEAD)

Dr. Duggal said that special teams were deployed under the drive to clean the city. She said that the vehicles (tippers) of the Municipal Corporation will move door-to-door for garbage collection. She urged the citizens to do the segregation of wet and dry waste and put the same in the tippers or rehris.

Earlier a Janta Darbar (Public Grievance Redressal Camp) was also organized at the Town Hall of the Corporation. Camp was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal. In the camp 86 complaints were received related to the MC and other departments. The DC directed all officers to resolve the complaints in a stipulated time as per the mandate of the state government. Mayor Vimal Thatai and MC officials were also present.
